Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture, turning into the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer all of the world. Swift left her heritage in country music as if she was a second skin and showed that she had the best pop sensibility in her time. Swift was the only singer/songwriter who knew how to be a part of the trending zeitgeist and take it out on the road. Swift's early hits, especially her neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her talents. But her 2008 album Fearless revealed a songwriter who was re-discovering herself and gaining a huge following. Fearless became a massive success not only in the United States, where six of its singles were certified platinum on the back of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this success and moved Swift into the stratosphere of superstardom. The singer's popularity increased throughout her subsequent three albums: Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within an industry she felt was hers to be. It was not long before she reformulated her approach by releasing 2020's streamlined the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
