Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, making her the second-youngest winner to win an award within Oscar history. After an audition, Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish pianist. Flora McGrath is the daughter of a muted Scottish musician, who emigrated from Scotland to New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. After moving to the United States, she became a teenager. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part in the film as Jane Eyre as only a child. Paquin was Frankie Addams from a television film adaptation of Carson McCullers's novels The Member of the Wedding (1997). Paquin was a part of the supporting cast in Princess of Spain Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997. The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as the Polexia Aphrodisa groupie as part of Almost Famous (2000).
