She made her debut as an actor in 1997, at age 13. In 1997, Vandervoort made her debut as an actress at the age of 13. Season 7, she was a series regular. She was featured in "Bloodline" episode, which was the eighth season episode. The show returned to Smallville to appear in two episodes of the season's final that was her tenth. Following The CW, Vandervoort shot the sequel of the film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2 : The Reef. The Jazzman was her next independent film. The film also featured Canadian performers Michael Ironside and Corey Sevier.
